The round of Plastiras Lake

A trip around the Plastiras lake is a dream for many visitors of the area, but difficult and inaccessible. Tavropos activities, having Cube’s E-Bikes, can make this dream reality!

We start from the information center of Tavropos and we follow either the highway either magical dirt roads through oaks trees or by the side of the lake, we cross graphics, traditional villages of the area, we visit the monastery Petras (optionally), we swim at the crystal waters of the famous fiord (optionally), we stop for a cafe and snack break at two wonderful spots, Lampero plaz and at the dam and after 6 to 8 hours, we turn back at the information canter, full of pictures, experiences and satisfaction!

Information center- above the Dam

For the funs of cycling, who would like a rout with the e-Bikes, but they don’t have the time to do the round of Plastiras lake, Tavropos Activities has another one, which duration is approximately 4 hours and totally 39Km.

The rout starts from the information center of Tavropos Activities. Our direction is to the north, following the central road. Crossing the village Neochori, where the view is amazing! We continue our course crossing the river Karitsiotis, meanwhile the trees are providing us with their shadow and beautiful scenery. Our first stop is at the Dam, which is the reason of creation of the lake. Over there we have the opportunity to enjoy the view. At the little shops with souvenirs and folk art’s shops, we are able to try and buy local products. We continue our route to the final destination which is a location above the dam. The view from that point is breathless, because we can see the dam from above but also a very big part of the lake! We return back to the information center, following the same way.

Before starting the tour, you should know that:

You must strictly follow the guide's instructions.
Feel comfortable with the bike.
The rider’s height should be at least 1.50m and the weight below 120kg.
Children must be over 14 years old.
Good physical condition recommended.
Routes are not recommended for pregnant women, people with a heart condition and other serious health problems as well as people with severe problems in the waist and knees.
